Gastroenterology is a branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders.
We provide consultation and investigation of all aspects of gastroenterology. We care for patients aged above 17 years old.
This includes:
hepatology (liver disease),
inflammatory and irritable bowel disease,
colon cancer screening and
diagnosis, diseases of the stomach and oesophagus.
Diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the organs from mouth to anus, along the alimentary canal, are the focus of this specialty. Physicians practicing in this field of medicine are called gastroenterologists.
